Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Pulse ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the Software. The Software is developed and maintained by Refora Technologies ("we", "us", or "our").

2. License Grant

Pulse is licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 (GPLv3). Subject to the terms of the GPLv3, you are granted a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to:

  • Use the Software for any purpose.
  • Study the source code and modify it to suit your needs.
  • Redistribute copies of the original Software.
  • Distribute copies of your modified versions, provided they are also licensed under the GPLv3.

3. Administrator Privileges

Pulse requires administrator privileges on Microsoft Windows in order to access low-level hardware sensor data through kernel interfaces. By granting these privileges, you acknowledge and accept that:

  • The Software will have read access to hardware sensor registers via LibreHardwareMonitor.
  • The Software does not modify any system settings, registry keys, or hardware configurations beyond storing a local preferences file.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that running the Software with elevated privileges complies with your organization's security policies.

4. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL REFORA TECHNOLOGIES BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY ARISING FROM THE USE OF THE SOFTWARE.

Hardware sensor readings are provided as reported by the underlying LibreHardwareMonitor library. We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of sensor data displayed by the Software.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Refora Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the Software.

6. Third-Party Components

Pulse incorporates the following open-source components, each governed by their respective licenses:

  • LibreHardwareMonitor — Mozilla Public License 2.0 (MPL-2.0)
  • Newtonsoft.Json — MIT License
  • CommunityToolkit.Mvvm — MIT License
  • Ubuntu Font Family — Ubuntu Font Licence v1.0

Your use of these components is also subject to their respective license terms.

7. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable to the jurisdiction in which Refora Technologies operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
